Once Petite Ambassadors has
processed your application, you will be notified
by letter of the date and time of your Language
Proficiency Examination. The Language Proficiency
Examination will ensure that students are assigned
to the proper class and instuctional level in
the student’s language of study.
The Language Proficiency Examination
will be administered the following students:
- All new students
- Any student who has previously taken classes
with Petite Ambassadors but has been out on
an extended leave of absence from classes.
- Any student who has had prolonged exposure
to the language that is to be studied, but the
exposure has not been documented.
The cost of the Language Proficiency Examination
is $75 and is payable prior to the exam. Exam
results will be valid and kept on file for the
term of one (1) year from the testing date.
You may elect to forgo the Language Proficiency
Examination if you, as parent or guardian of the
student, sign an affidavit agreeing that your
child has had little to no exposure or experience
in the language that he or she is planning to
study and that he or she is to be placed into
a first-level or introductory course.
Once the results of the Language Proficiency Examination
have been processed you will receive an acceptace
letter and "Welcome Package" that will
contain the following:
- Your class orientation date and time.
- Class days, dates and time
- Class location
- A copy of the Student and Parent Handbook
- General liability and photographic release
forms
- An Acceptance of Terms and Conditions form?
PLEASE DO NOT SIGN ANY OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED
FORMS. YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN THESE FORMS IN THE
PRESENCE OF OUR DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION AND REGISTRAR
At orientation you will
receive the following:
- A course syllabus
- A list of additional class materials that
must be purchased prior to the first class meeting
- Any required copyrighted course materials,
such as a textbook.
- Any additionally supplied course materials,
such as a music CD or other media.
Once you have reviewed all of the Welcome Package
information with the Director of Education and
the Registrar, sign the forms, remit payment for
the term, and report to your designated class
at your designated time. |
