Petite Ambassadors Language School Petite Ambassadors Language School
Pre-Class Vocabulary Building

At Petite Ambassadors, we believe that Mothers are the best teachers when it comes to their children. Because of this belief and the amount of material that we want to be able to cover in one hour of class time, you will be given a package of vocabulary cards at the end of each class. Over the next several days, you will present this vocabulary to your baby using the techniques that we will show you on the first day.

Class Flow

Classes will begin promptly at the times posted on the schedule, so please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes before class is set to start. Once class begins, we will spend 10 minutes reviewing the topic that was covered during the previous class. The following 45 minutes will be spent in conversation regarding our topic of the week (see class schedule). During the last 5 minutes, the instructors will introduce the next module's vocabulary to our Moms and to answer any questions that may have come up prior to or during class.

Erollment Process

Once Petite Ambassadors has processed your application, you will be notified by letter of the date and time of your Language Proficiency Examination. The Language Proficiency Examination will ensure that students are assigned to the proper class and instuctional level in the student’s language of study.

The Language Proficiency Examination will be administered the following students:

  • All new students
  • Any student who has previously taken classes with Petite Ambassadors but has been out on an extended leave of absence from classes.
  • Any student who has had prolonged exposure to the language that is to be studied, but the exposure has not been documented.

The cost of the Language Proficiency Examination is $75 and is payable prior to the exam. Exam results will be valid and kept on file for the term of one (1) year from the testing date.

You may elect to forgo the Language Proficiency Examination if you, as parent or guardian of the student, sign an affidavit agreeing that your child has had little to no exposure or experience in the language that he or she is planning to study and that he or she is to be placed into a first-level or introductory course.

Once the results of the Language Proficiency Examination have been processed you will receive an acceptace letter and "Welcome Package" that will contain the following:

  • Your class orientation date and time.
  • Class days, dates and time
  • Class location
  • A copy of the Student and Parent Handbook
  • General liability and photographic release forms
  • An Acceptance of Terms and Conditions form?

PLEASE DO NOT SIGN ANY OF THE ABOVE-MENTIONED FORMS. YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN THESE FORMS IN THE PRESENCE OF OUR DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION AND REGISTRAR

At orientation you will receive the following:

  • A course syllabus
  • A list of additional class materials that must be purchased prior to the first class meeting
  • Any required copyrighted course materials, such as a textbook.
